In 1926, former students set up the Old Westcliffian Association (OWA) to enable them to keep in touch with both the continuing development of the School and each other.

The Association continues to fulfil these functions.  The Old Westcliffian Association is the focus and means by which all former students can maintain their link with the School and with each other in the UK and around the world.  The Association works together with the Governors and the Headmaster to ensure the continuing success and prosperity of the School.

The Association discharges these roles essentially through its Newsletter and the annual Association Dinner held at the beginning of the Autumn Term.  The electronic Newsletter keeps members informed of developments at the School, of the achievements of former students, and of other matters of interest.  The Association Dinner, held in the School Hall, offers the opportunity for former students to meet, renew acquaintances, and hear a distinguished speaker.

The Association is always seeking out new ways to extend the services it offers to former students.  In addition to providing a link between former students who have lost touch with the School, the Association is creating a Careers’ Advice network through which former students may gain advice from fellow alumni working in their chosen field.  It is hoped those choosing to join the Association will become willing participants.

The Association is the society for former pupils of Westcliff High School for Boys and all who have been educated at Westcliff are eligible for membership.
