Lower Sixth students attended the annual NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Big Pitch event

In June, Lower Sixth students aspiring to study Medicine at university attended the annual NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Big Pitch event at Central Hall in Westminster. The Big Pitch is a national platform for showcasing the future of healthcare, bringing together NHS leaders, policymakers, innovators, and industry partners.

The students were able to listen to speeches and Q&A panels from key leading authoritative figures in the Health Sector, including the National Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of NHS England, directors from the Department of Health and Social Care, and directors from many innovative healthcare companies. In addition, the students heard pitches about the latest groundbreaking and innovative products and services for healthcare as well as being afforded the opportunity to network and discuss these products and services with their CEOs and founders.

We are incredibly grateful to Professor Tony Young OBE for inviting students from WHSB to the Big Pitch. The day was enjoyable and inspiring for our students, and a wonderful opportunity. With thanks to Mrs Lo-Whitford for supporting with the arrangements for this trip.
