A Level Results 2020
This year’s A Level results are among the best ever at Westcliff High School for Boys with 21% of entries graded A* and 53% of all entries graded A* or A. In addition, an outstanding 81% of all entries were graded A*, A or B.
Despite a unique set of circumstances resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, there were many superb individual performances, with a number of students getting three or more A* grades, including 8 students who secured 4 A* grades and a further 11 students who achieved 3A* grades. Nine students have obtained Oxbridge places and many others will be undertaking courses at prestigious Russell Group Universities. There are many more students who have achieved the necessary grades for their first-choice university.
We congratulate our students who have endured much uncertainty over the last five months since the announcement was made by the Government that all public examinations would not be taking place this year. We also thank the staff of Westcliff High School for Boys who have worked so hard with these young people, and the parents for their ongoing support. We wish these students every success in their future studies and employment.
