Top Honours for WHSB Students in Prestigious Chemistry Olympiad

At an assembly this term we were delighted to celebrate the impressive achievements of 18 of our Upper Sixth students in this year’s Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad. This prestigious national competition challenges students to apply their A-Level knowledge to complex, real-world scenarios, demanding exceptional critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills in a highly demanding three-hour written examination.
Nationally, 17,241 students entered the competition. WHSB's entrants performed superbly, with some achieving amongst the highest marks in the country. Ten secured Silver awards and Alhena obtained a coveted Gold Award, placing them in the top 8.5% of students nationwide, a testament to their dedication and ability.
We are incredibly proud of all the students who put themselves forward for this demanding competition and rose so successfully to the challenge. With thanks to Dr Archer, for co-ordinating the School's participation.
