Success for Westcliff High School for Boys in the "Have Your Say" languages competition

Last term saw success for Westcliff High School for Boys in the "Have Your Say" languages competition for schools in East Anglia. Organised by the Association for Language Learning (ALL) Essex and East Anglian Branch, this popular competition is for school pupils in Years 7 to 10. Pairs perform memorised dialogues in French, German or Spanish, with preliminary rounds taking place in March and a regional final in May.

This year's first round of the competition, hosted by Westcliff High School for Girls, saw five local schools take part. Twelve pairs of students from WHSB were entered, with 20 of our pupils securing a place in the final. We are proud of all our entrants who performed exceptionally well in front of the judges and fellow competitors. We congratulate our pupils on winning a place in the final and wish them every success.

With thanks to Ms McKeown, Ms Niedziela and Mr Shulton for preparing the pupils for the challenge and facilitating the School's entry to the competition.
