WHSB'S First XI football team take their place in the Essex County Schools & Colleges U19 Division 2 League Cup Final

We are proud of the talented members of WHSB'S First XI football team who recently demonstrated the determination and resilience necessary to take their place in the Essex County Schools & Colleges U19 Division 2 League Cup Final. Fighting back from an early goal deficit, WHSB’s players showed incredible character to overturn a start to the match where they were two goals down against tough competition, igniting a comeback with a brilliant free kick. Driven by a dominant midfield and a tireless performance, WHSB levelled the scoring and continued to control the match. Following a flawless defensive shift, the match was decided by a clinical penalty shootout. A heroic save from WHSB's goalkeeper Sam secured a 6-5 victory, earning them their place in the final in April.

We congratulate the team on their impressive achievement in the county championship and wish them every success as they compete for the cup. With our thanks to Mr Futcher, Mr Courtney and the Physical Education Department for their dedicated coaching and support. Well done to all involved!
