Noah Murphy-Brown (Lower Sixth) is the new Southend Youth Mayor

We were delighted to hear that Noah Murphy-Brown (Lower Sixth) is the new Southend Youth Mayor, and he will hold this important role until September 2026. Noah explains, “In order to join Youth Council, you must be referred by someone who is part of it already, or the person who runs it. To run for Youth Mayor, you must prove you have been part of Council for three months (Noah has been part of Council for four years). All the candidates deliver a speech and then they vote.
“They meet on Wednesday once a month, and they are in charge of running campaigns such as Red Relief, Movember, Southend YMCA, and In her Power. In the past, they have run campaigns for women's health, no vaping, and Red Relief.”
Congratulations to Noah on gaining this position; we are proud of him, and wish him well in his work to support our local community.
