Following the retirement of the existing postholder we are seeking a Science (Physics) Technician to support our busy and successful Science department.
This vital role ensures that all equipment and materials are available for use by students and teachers, and provides administrative support to an important subject area within the School.
This post will suit someone with strong scientific, communication and administrative skills, and someone with a passion for enabling our pupils to succeed with their academic studies.
The School has recently spent £2.5m completely refurbishing its Science Building to create a modern and pleasant working environment.
The standard hours of work are 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, finishing at 4.00pm on Friday. The postholder will be expected to work on all days that pupils are present, Staff Development Days, and 16 days during the School holiday period.
The postholder will be entitled to the equivalent of 22 days paid holiday, rising to 25 days after five years of service.
