ANY NEW PUPIL AT WESTCLIFF WILL SOON FEEL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY.
JASPER, YEAR 7

At WHSB we promote the same sense of belonging and community spirit outside the School as we do within it.

We value highly the links we have fostered and maintained with our local area: the interaction between WHSB and the wider community benefits those around us while broadening our students’ horizons and enhancing their educational outcomes.

Our Sixth Form students work in more than fifty local primary schools helping younger pupils to develop their reading skills and they give freely of their time to work with the elderly and disabled. We open our doors on a weekly basis for primary school workshops and host conferences in a variety of subjects.

Our charitable work has raised almost £100,000 for good causes locally and nationally in recent years. These endeavours place WHSB firmly at the heart of the community it serves and help to instil within our pupils a sense of civic responsibility and social conscience.

The Old Westcliffians’ Association helps us to maintain strong links with our former pupils.  We are proud of their many achievements and delighted that they choose to stay in touch.
